Seasoned racers set to compete for checkered flag at Sunday’s South Dakota race meet

A number of seasoned racers are set to rev their engines and shift gears in a bid to outmaneuver their rivals in the second edition of the National Race of Champions, set for Sunday at the South Dakota Circuit, Timehri.

The Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) event will put on display 22 races that will see bikers and racecar drivers vying for top honors.

The likes of seasoned campaigners Andrew King, Mark Vieira and president of the GMR&SC, Rameez Mohamed, are all likely to suit up while Shane Ally is set  to debut his Lotus Elise at the premier racing event.

Races will get on the way from 8:00 hours with an admission fee of $1,000 for adults and $500 for children under 12 being charged at the gate.

The July 2 event is sponsored by Ansa McAl, Prem’s Electrical, B.M. Soat, Mohamed’s Enterprise, Ready Mix, Special Auto, Japarts, Ticket Master, Palm Court, KGM, MAC batteries, S. Jagmohan Hardware Supplies and Construction, L Mahabir and Sons Cambio and Choke Gas Station.
