Ansa Mc Al on board for next weekend’s Guyana Softball Cup 8

One of the largest distribution companies in Guyana is continuing its support for the largest international softball competition locally.

Ansa McAl, has decided to continue its sponsorship of the Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association’s Guyana Softball Cup 8 which will be held next weekend at the Demerara Cricket Club ground, Queenstown.

“Just to let you know, this is the seventh year that Ansa McAl has been involved in this competition. When we were first approached with respect to sponsoring the competition we signed onto it in fulfillment of our mandate in supporting the development of sports in Guyana and by extension, softball cricket,” Ansa McAl’s Beverage Divisional Head, Kelvin Singh said at the company’s Head Office last week.

He also thanked the GFSCA for having the company’s  Stag Beer, Lucozade and iCool juice drink on board as the official beverage sponsor of the Guyana Softball Cricket Cup Eight (8).

Singh said he wanted to urge all the fans and supporters of softball cricket to come out and support the games and by extension, the Ansa McAl beverage bars.

“Once again, we at Ansa McAl would like to take the opportunity to thank the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association for approaching us on this initiative in partnering to host this competition and we look forward to our continued partnership in supporting and promoting the development of softball,” he said.

Teams from Guyana, New York, Canada and Florida will converge here for the October 26-28 tournament.

The GFSCA is promising an action-packed and competitive tournament. The category finals will be held October 28 at the Demerara Cricket Club, starting at 10:00h.

The tournament is sponsored by Stag Beer, Rubis Guyana, Trophy Stall, Survival, Steve’s Jewellery, Clear Waters, Busta, Rohan Auto Spares, A&R Jewanram Printery, Ramchand’s Auto Spares WJ Enterprise, Mike’s Pharmacy and Karibee Rice.
