Sacrilegious ads

Dear Editor,

I wish to offer the following comments with regards to advertisements observed in the Muslim holiday editions of the dailies.

I know content of ads is not the responsibility of the publication.

The first has to do with business places which deal with products forbidden to the Muslim religion placing greetings.

This to my mind is a conflict and sacrilegious.  The significance and meaning of the observance should be the guiding factor.

The other has to do with a government agency placing a notice for a hearing scheduled for November 23 2018.

In the notice one witness is from the Georgetown Public Hospital Co-operation as opposed to Corporation.

The signatory ought to pay attention to these details since it reflects poorly.

Yours faithfully,

Shamshun Mohamed
