T&T coming with 23-strong squad

The Trinidad and Tobago Boxing Association has shortlisted a team of 23 boxers to represent the 868 at the Caribbean Boxing Championships to be held here next week at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

According to news reaching this daily, Trinidad is scheduled to send eight elite boxers, four youth, six juniors and five novices.

Of the 23, three are female, namely Tiana Guy (57kg Elite), Shakira Elias (64kg junior) and Faith Ramnauth (48kg youth).

The annual Caribbean Boxing Championships will be staged from December 6-9. Boxers from St Lucia, Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua and of course the hosts, Guyana are slated to match gloves at the event.
