Back Circle maintains perfect record

Back Circle maintained their perfect record, while defending champion Bent Street and Future Stars secured their first wins in the NSC/Magnum Mash Cup Futsal Championship on Wednesday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

On an evening that witnessed five drawn matches, Back Circle dismantled Good-Life 3-0. Dellon Kelly, Jermaine Beckles and Stephon McLean scored in the third, fifth and 17th minute respectively.

Meanwhile, Bent Street overcame a dogged Avocado Ballers unit 2-1. Pernell Schultz tallied a double in the fourth and 19th minute. For the loser, Dexter Marshall netted in the ninth minute.  

Similarly, Future Stars downed Alexander Village 3-1. Jamal Cozier, Kevin Cummings and Ryan Dowding netted in the eighth, 16th and 20th minute respectively. On the other side, Leon Yaw netted in the 13th minute.

Meanwhile, Gold is Money suffered their first loss of the event, going down to Capital Strikers 1-0. Tevin Crawford scored in the 17th minute. In other results, Albouystown and Leopold Street battled to a scoreless draw. 

Also playing to an identical result was Tigerbay and Sophia. Similarly, Hustlers and Buxton Diamond played to a 2-2 result, while Ol Skool Ballers and Island All-Stars tussled to a 2-2 scoreline.  

The final drawn encounter was a 1-1 stalemate between Broad Street and Showstoppers. Also, Gaza Squad defeated Mocha via walkover. The event continues tomorrow with the final night of group play. Below are the complete results.
