A pedal cyclist of Mocha, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was yesterday afternoon fatally struck down in a hit-and-run accident which occurred on the Providence, EBD Public Road.
The deceased has been identified as Arnold Kissoonlall, 43, of Lot 46, Nelson Street, Mocha, EBD.
Police last night said that at around 3.30pm, Kissoonlall was riding north when he was struck down by an unknown vehicle.
As a result of the impact, police said he sustained injuries to his head and died on the spot.
