The Yellow-crowned Amazon (Amazona ochrocephala) is a species of parrot native to tropical South America and Panama. It has a yellow head, a short squarish tail and primarily green plumage. It has red and dark blue sections, which are often difficult to see when the bird is perched. The Yellow-crowned Amazon eats fruits, nuts and seeds.
