New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI) defeated Berbice High School 34-30 to clinch the Berbice Zone title in the Youth Basketball Guyana Championship on Saturday.
Kadeem Dover, the division’s eventual Most Valuable Player (MVP) top scored for the winners in the U18 matchup with 21 points.
He was assisted by Jeremy Williams, who scored 12 points. For the losers, Timothy Harris and Charles Williamson scored eight and seven points correspondingly.
With the result, both teams qualified to represent the zone at the National School Basketball Festival.
