CCJ said elections must…

Dear Editor,

The apparent twisting of the ruling of the CCJ in handing down its Consequential Orders that the call by the Opposition to name an elections date was blanked by that august body is indeed disingenuous by one media house.

Editor,  the Court did not blank but rather gave clear effect and directives that elections must be held within three months from the date of its ruling that the NCM was legally passed.

So in effect the call that elections be held by September 18 2019 was in fact upheld by the Court.

What it blanked was the thinking that the government was not in a caretaker mode and it is not business as usual.

Yours faithfully,

Shamshun Mohamed
