An Albouystown fisherman is now a remanded prisoner after he was charged on Friday with wounding.

Kevin Allicock, 25, of 32 James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, where he was read a charge stating that he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Joshua Barker on April 17th, 2019, in the vicinity of Georgetown.

Allicock pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Barker was not present in court but his father made an appearance on his behalf. The man told the court that his son received injuries to the neck and they had not yet healed. He added that at the time of the court hearing his son was seeking medical attention for the wounds.

After hearing this information, the magistrate remanded Allicock to prison and adjourned the matter until August 2nd, when she hopes to get a report on Barker’s injuries.
