Red-Line, LA Ballers, Germans United, Dave & Celina All-Stars and NK Ballers recorded dissimilar victories on Wednesday in the 6th edition of the New Era Entertainment/Mohamed’s Enterprise Futsal Tournament.

Witnessed by a sizable crowd at the Mackenzie Sports Club [MSC] ground, Linden, Red Line crushed Higher Level 9-4. Abraham Browne smashed five goals, while Jamal Caster was the next best scorer with two goals. Jamal Bentick and Keino Brutus added one goal each.

For the loser, Colwyn Drakes recorded a hat-trick, while Royston Fraser scored once.

Similarly, LA Ballers mauled Mines All-Stars 8-0. Nicholas MacArthur tallied a hat-trick, with solitary goals coming off the boots of Cecil Jackman, Jaleel Hamilton, Darren Niles, Simeon Moore and Ryan Hackett respectively.

Likewise, Germans United mauled Achievers 5-0. Romaine Adams and Ryan Noel both recorded two goals, with Trevon Archibald completing the rout with a solitary strike.  

Meanwhile, Dave & Celina’s All-Stars downed Capital Strikers 5-3. Darren Fraser bagged a helmet trick while Benjamin Opara completed the scoreline with a solitary attempt.

For the loser, Steve Matthias scored twice while Jonathan Copeland netted once.

Meanwhile, NK Ballers downed Quiet Storm 3-1.

Jermaine Grandison fashioned a double while Joel Isaacs added the other conversion. For the loser, Michael Richmond scored. West Side Ballers defeated North East via walkover.

The event resumes today at the same venue with another round of group matches. West Side Connection will oppose Achievers at 19:20hrs, with NK Ballers battling Trend-Setters from 20:15hrs and North East engaging Hard-Knocks at 21:00hrs.

In the fourth clash, High Rollers take aim at Higher Level from 21:45hrs and Silver Bullets clash with Red Line at 22:30hrs. In the final match, Germans United tackle Haynes Hitters from 11:20hrs.

The event features 18 teams divided into four groups. The event will be played in an initial round-robin format, with the top two finishers from each section progressing to the quarterfinals stage.

$600,000 and a trophy will be awarded to the winner, with the second, third and fourth place finishers copping $250,000, $100,000 and $50,000

Group-A consists of West Side Ballers, Nutt-man All-Stars, LA Ballers and Hard-Knocks, while Young Achievers, Capital Strikers, Germans United and West Side Connection comprise group-B.

Group-C features Silver Bullets, High Rollers, Red Line and Higher Level, while group-D contains Capital Storm, NK Ballers, Quiet Storm, Trend-Setters and Dave & Celina’s All-Stars.
