Romario Baljeet yesterday faced cross-examination in the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the charge against Abdul Imran Khan, who is accused of attempting to murder him in an attack at the Palm Court nightclub.
The charge against Khan alleges that on October 28th, 2018, at Main Street, Georgetown, with intent to commit murder, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Baljeet.
The PI is being conducted by Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown.
In her cross-examination, Special Prosecutor Latchmie Rahamat questioned Baljeet about the information he provided to the court earlier.
The PI is set to continue on September 10th when Rohan Beharry is expected to provide evidence in the matter and also continue his testimony. Along with Beharry, two persons from the Palm Court Information Technology department are also expected to provide a video recorded at the time of the alleged assault.
