I refer to your article `Auditors absent from GFF congress’ carried in the Sunday Stabroek dated 25 August 2019. Ram & McRae’s absence from the congress was as a result of internal miscommunication which resulted in the unavailability of the engagement partner and other relevant persons on Saturday, 24 August 2019. The auditor’s presence at an annual general meeting would facilitate answering of any questions relating to our report while questions on the financial statements would be answered by management. We have since been advised that no questions were raised which required a response from us and therefore our absence did not in any way affect the successful hosting of the congress.
