Bandits steal cash in armed attack on Rambarran’s Enterprise

Gun-toting bandits yesterday afternoon invaded Rambarran’s Enterprise in Campbellville, Georgetown, where they held employees of the poultry business at gunpoint before carting off an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sunday Stabroek understands that the attack, which has left the staff traumatized, was carried out around 1 pm at the Middleton Street location.

Reports are that the business was in full operation, when the two men, both said to be armed, entered, held the employees who were present at gunpoint and demanded that they hand over the cash.

One of the men then reportedly scaled the counter and emptied the cash register. The men later escaped in a waiting car.

At the time of the attack, the security guard on duty was reportedly not in the guard hut, which is situated in front the building.

The police were summoned and an investigation has since been launched.
