`Not In My House’ set for September28

Professional boxing will return later this month to the 592, ending a lengthy wait for the starved fans of the ‘Sweet Science’.

According to information reaching this publication, a stacked international, six-fight card dubbed ‘Not In My House’ is scheduled to be staged on September 28 at D’Urban Park.

The card which is a collaborative effort involving the Guyana Boxing Board of Control (GBBC), Caribbean Knockouts, HJ Entertainment and NexGen Global Marketing, will become official when the contracts are signed on Monday.

Flyweight standout, Dexter ‘De Kid’ Marques and Colombian, Jose Antonio Jimenez are scheduled to headline the night’s proceedings in a 10-round contest.

The card will also see Romeo Norville matching gloves with Edmond DeClou (catchweight-six rounds), Joel Williamson taking on Keeve Allicock in a four-round super lightweight encounter and Patrick Boston facing middleweight, Bryan Cuvero of the USA over four rounds.

Organizers of the open air event have also pit welterweight, Anson Green against the USA’s Raymond Wilburg (four rounds) and light heavyweights, James Moore and James Walcott (six rounds) against each other.
