Akeem Sinclair, who is accused of stealing a woman’s gold chain, was denied his pre-trial liberty on Friday after a city magistrate was told that there is a robbery charge still pending against him.

The charge, which was read by Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown against Sinclair, alleges that on September 1st, at Croal Street, Georgetown, he stole a gold chain, valued $80,000, from Tenesha Gittens-Bynoe.

Prosecutor Sanj Singh objected to bail being granted to the defendant and told the magistrate that Sinclair had a pending robbery charge in court. Sinclair was subsequently remanded to prison. His next scheduled court date is September 27th, 2019.
