Hockey action is set to resume today and the Guyana Hockey Board (GHB) has released the weekend’s fixtures that will see the country’s top second division and under – 20 players going against each other.
Teams will battle in the Bounty Paper Towel -Quicker Picker Upper- Men’s and Women’s Outdoor, Second Division and the Solo Drinks Under-20 Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Development Leagues at the Saint Stanislaus College Ground. Today’s matches commence from 15:00hrs with GCC Pitbulls coming up against YMCA Old Fort Generals in the Boys’ Under-20 Division while GBTI GCC battles YMCA of Wild Cats in the Women’s Second Division League.
Tomorrow’s action will include three-second division matches and three under 20 fixtures. The first half of the league was completed in May and in second division action, Saints are at the top of the men’s and women’s points table. Meanwhile, under – 20 action will resume with YMCA Old Fort Hockey Club (OFHC) Ballers and Bingo GCC Spartans kick starting the second half of the league as points leaders in the boys and girls categories, respectively.
