Principal Magistrate Fabayo Azore informed the accused that he was not required to plead to the indictable charge and that he was remanded until November 26.

Police, in a press statement on the murder, said that initial investigations revealed that the victim’s brother saw the suspect in their yard and requested that he leave immediately. However, sometime later, the brother heard Shemain screaming and rushed to her aid. He discovered his sister with a stab wound to her left breast, the statement said.

Frank, a mother of three, had ended a relationship with Wilson after suffering years of abuse.

Shemain’s sister Keshoma Frank related that they were all sleeping when the screams from her sibling woke them up.

“…she shouted ‘Magaman’ (the nickname of her brother) and he jump out and he said, ‘Shemain, oh shucks!’ And everybody run out of their rooms”.

Days after her murder, police issued a wanted bulletin for Wilson.
