Dear Editor,
It is with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of the late ‘Comrade’ Cyril Belgrave. He served in leadership capacities both in the PPP and in the labour movement. He was also a former PPP parliamentarian where he used his voice to represent the interests of the working people. He also was a strong advocate for the elderly and pensioners.
I had the honour of interacting with the late Comrade Belgrave on several occasions. He was a people’s person and from an early age found common cause with the PPP.
Comrade Belgrave will certainly be missed by the leadership and the entire membership of the PPP. I wish to express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family members on his passing.
