The University of Guyana will take on the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) in the feature match of this weekend’s action in the ongoing Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA), Noble House Seafoods, Second Division two-day competition at DCC.
The students will fancy their chances against the usually star-studded DCC side who will be without a number of their seasoned players as they will be engaged in the SBF Petroleum Jaguars One-Day League.
Nevertheless, the host will still have the services of Alphius Bookie, Nkosie Beaton, Jaden Campbell and Dexter George. UG, on the other hand, will rely on the dependable Melroy Stephenson, Ershaad Ali and Omesh Danram with the bat while off-spinner Dwayne Dodson and Devon Paul will spearhead the bowling attack.
The other matches will see the Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) hosting the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) while the Police Sports Club (PSC) and Everest will battle at Eve Leary.
Malteenoes will host the Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) and Bel Air Rubis and Transport SC will go head-to-head at the Queen’s College ground.
