Dr Keith Cummings, who has been making donations to the medical development of his home country for years, last Thursday made a contribution of over four hundred thousand dollars to his former primary school.
During a visit last Thursday, Dr Cummings handed over a cheque for US$2,000 to students of the Eversham Primary School, located in East Berbice Corentyne.
The donation was initiated as part of a project to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at the school and expand the community.
Cummings told this newspaper that the money will be used to support computer science skills training at the school.
