North Georgetown and St. Stephens were amongst the winners when the Smalta Girls Pee Wee Football Championship commenced on Saturday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
North Georgetown dismantled FE Pollard 7-0. Martha Chance led the way with a helmet-trick in the seventh, 12th, 25th and 28th minute, while Jasmine Burke, Bianca Shekel and Kendra Moore added goals in the third, fifth and 11th minute each.
Similarly, St. Stephen’s crushed Marian Academy 3-0. Kaitlyn LaRose bagged a double in the 24th and 29th minute, while Blessings Thomas netted in the second minute.
In other results, Redeemer needled Tucville 1-0. Timairra Reynolds netted in the 20th minute. Likewise, Smith Memorial defeated St. Margaret 1-0. Fiona Gibbs scored in the sixth minute.
