Sahadeo triumphs in two US TT tournaments

Junior national table tennis player Krystian Sahadeo is currently having a marvellous uting on the United States table tennis circuit, serving his way to two junior table tennis titles recently.

The Titans Table Tennis Club player, who contested the American Asian Cultural Center Tribeca (AACCT) championships, copped the Under 1700 and Under 1900 division titles.

The Guyanese accounted for Julian Morris 3-0 to take the Under – 1700 title while downing Mark Berg 3-0 to clinch the Under- 1900 crown.

Sahadeo also flaunted his talents during the Joola North American Teams, the Westchester Open and the Flushing Table Tennis Center (FTTC) tournaments respectively. 

The young man who is meticulous while executing his craft, received commendation for his efforts by former national champion Sydney Christophe. 

“Krystian along with his other team members Isaiah Layne, Niran Bissu, and Thuraia Thomas reached the semi-finals in their division at the Joola tournament. His [Sahadeo0] outstanding play allowed his ratings to jump from 1554 to 1822,” Christophe revealed to Stabroek Sports during a brief interview. 

Sahadeo is presently training at the Flushing Table Tennis Center (FTTC) under Christophe’s tutelage.
