Goal is Money, Mighty Rulers, Future Stars and Goal Raiders secured convincing wins when the inaugural Christmas Futsal Fiesta commenced on Friday night at the Bartica Community Center hard-court.
Witnessed by a sizable crowd, Goal is Money, the tournament favourite, pillaged Guardians 5-0. Similarly, Mighty Rulers dethroned Almanac Kings 5-2. Likewise, Future Stars disarmed Bad Company 4-1, while Goal Raiders downed Jones Avenue 2-0.
The event continues tomorrow [Monday] at the same venue with another round of matches. Winner of the event will pocket $150,000, with the second and third place sides receiving $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
