According to the Guyana Cricket Board, Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Raymon Reifer have been issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) while players that are optional are Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd and Keemo Paul.

The territorial board also indicated that, subject to the availability of players, Trevon Griffith, Ronaldo Ali-Mohammed, Nial Smith, Akshya Persuad, Ramaal Lewis and Kevin Sinclair will be added.  In the event that the optional players are there to play, then these players will be in Adams’ side.

Meanwhile, Adams, 26, has shown promise as a leader and bowling all-rounder with both GCB 50-over and three-day franchise league titles under his belt with Essequibo. He will now lead a strong core of players made up mostly of Cricket Guy Inc. contracted players.

Adams’ squad includes West Indies Under-19 duo Kevlon Anderson and Ashmead Nedd along with Raymon Perez, Kemol Savory, Ricardo Adams, Tevin Imlach, Richie Looknauth, Kelvin Umroa, Clinton Pestano, Qumar Torrington, Joshua Jones and Quintin Sampson.

Both matches will be played at the National Stadium Providence with the first December 28-30. Each day will consist of a minimum of 98 overs and will bowl off from 09.30 hours until 17.00 hours.

Guyana Jaguars will open their title defence on January 9 against Leeward Islands Hurricanes in Antigua.
