When the King’s University held their athletes’ awards ceremony in Edmonton, Alberta Cananda, Guyanese badminton player, Narayan Ramdhani, was adjudged the Athlete-of-the-Year and Most Valuable Player.

Ramdhani represented the University where he is currently on a scholarship won the following awards.

MVP Award 

ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Award

Recognition for winning Gold at the ACAC Championships and Placing No.1 In Alberta

Recognition for winning Gold and Bronze at the CCAA National Championships and Placing No.3 in Canada

Recognition for winning the ACAC All Conference Award of outstanding Achievement in the field of College Sports in Alberta & for being selected on the  2018-19 All Conference Badminton Team.

Other Achievements in his First Year Playing for The Kings Eagles Badminton Team Narayan won:

1-Silver (Singles) & 5th Place (Doubles)- ACAC #3 Tournament in Alberta Canada 2019

1-Gold (Singles) & 4th Place (Doubles)- ACAC #2 Tournament in Alberta Canada 2019

1-Gold (Singles) & 4th Place Doubles)- ACAC #1 Tournament in Alberta Canada 2018

1-Silver- Kings University Open Doubles in Edmonton Canada 2018

The Guyana Badminton Association  in a release stated that  it wished to express its pleasure with Ramdhani’s performance suggesting that the organisation.. “has no doubt that he is one of Guyana’s most consistent and decorated athletes who continues to show his talent and success in the international arena.”
