Dear Editor,
State media in the form of NCN and the Guyana Chronicle should be privatised to prevent abuse by the government of the day.
The media is supposed to hold both the government and the opposition accountable. Yet, it is felt that some media houses (ignoring Guyana Chronicle which does the bidding of the government of the day) are not living up to expectations.
Stabroek News leads the way in impartiality; Kaieteur News has come a far way but needs to do more to earn the trust of Guyanese; it is felt that Guyana Times promotes the PPP/C agenda to counter Guyana Chronicle abuse.
Much more needs to be done in Guyana to hold both the government and the opposition accountable.
