A man was on Friday handed a three-month sentence for assaulting a woman.
Denzil Hyman was jailed after pleading guilty to the assault charge when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown.
At the in-camera hearing, it was alleged that Hyman, who shared a relationship with the woman, assaulted her, thereby causing her bodily harm.
After being sentenced, Hyman was escorted to the holding cell at the city court complex, where he fainted.
