Son of Trinidad calypsonian Sugar Aloes shot dead in US

(Trinidad Express) The son of calypsonian Michael “Sugar Aloes” Osuna was fatally near a church in Brooklyn, USA on Friday.

Ancil Blackman, 39, was standing at the front of Miller Evangelical Christian Union Church on President Street when he got into an argument with another man at around 5.30pm.

He lived in a nearby building. Relatives said they heard the gunshots.

According to reports, Blackman was found minutes later with a wound to the face.

 
A video circulating on social media shows police officers performing CPR on Blackman while waiting for an ambulance.

He was taken to the NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made.
