Dear Editor,
The Liberty and Justice Party reiterates its support for the Chair of the Guyana Elections Commission, Madam Justice (Ret’d) Claudette Singh.
We express our disappointment and disgust with the calls coming from the far reaches of the abyss where the dictatorial minions are for her – Madam Chair’s resignation and the petition emanating therefrom.
We continue to maintain and express our support for Madam Chair.
That the Chair continues to conduct herself in line with her lifelong legal training and profession and in the most objective of manners poses the obvious threat to people who intend to undermine Guyana’s democracy and who want to hijack the will of the people.
We look forward to the Court of Appeal’s decision to finally lay the PNC’s frivolous challenges to rest permanently and usher in the swearing of the next Democratically Elected Government through a declaration in line with the CCJ’s ruling and the laws of Guyana.
