A 35-year-old man of Rincon, Moruca, was on Tuesday night apprehended by police after he was found in possession of a black plastic bag containing what was suspected to be cannabis.
About 9:00pm on Tuesday night, ranks of the Acquero Police Station carried out a search at the home of the suspect following information received. The plastic bag was found in a hammock which was occupied by the suspect. A quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems, were in the bag and were suspected to be cannabis.
The contents of the bag which were weighed in the presence of the suspect amounted to 213.6 grams.
The suspect is currently being detained at the Acquero Police Station. Investigations are ongoing.
