Isaiah and Joel Henry who were brutally murdered in Region Five last weekend are expected to be laid to rest on Sunday, Isaiah’s father said yesterday morning, while stressing that he will not support any protest with violence.

The father, Gladson Henry, while on his way to Georgetown to make funeral arrangements, reiterated his call for persons to protest peacefully.

“I’m not supporting anything with violence and unmoral protesting, do nothing with violence”, he stressed.

“I said let we do it peacefully, it is our right but let we do it peacefully”, he added.

Henry, a father of five, said he is thankful for the support from the country. He added that, “The nation needs to be peaceful, we cannot be fighting against one another”.

He said, “If there is anything with violence, we will be arrested and we will pay and make ourself more endanger”.

The father said that he last spoke with the police sometime on Monday when he was  told that three persons were in custody.

He noted that he is in support of the call to have independent international assistance to carry out the investigation in an effort to ensure justice is served.

The grieving father said he only wants those that are responsible to “pay for the crime”.

Henry also stated that he does want the matter to turn political or racial but rather he only wants justice for the boys.

He explained that he has never had any sort of issue with persons due to their ethnicity.

The man also pointed out that a third youth, Haresh Singh, was found dead in their village, which he said has shaken the community even more.

As of yesterday afternoon, Commander of Region Five, Edmond Cooper stated that there has been a free flow of traffic for the entire day on both ends.

Commander of Region Six, Linden Isles, also noted, that there has been no report of any blockage or fires on the main access road in the region as of yesterday.

Both commanders noted, that the roads were cleared and ranks were placed at select points to monitor the situation.
