The Ministry of Health says that as of 6 pm today, one other person who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 83.
The latest fatality is a 46-year-old male from Demerara-Mahaica who died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.
Later this evening, the Ministry said that two other persons who tested positive for COVID-19 had passed away. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 85.
The latest fatalities are both males, 73 and 69 years old respectively who died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility. They are both from Demerara-Mahaica (Region 4).
