The Ministry of Health yesterday announced the deaths of four men as a result of COVID-19.
In three separate releases, the Ministry said that two of the men were from Region One (Barima-Waini), one from Region 7 (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) and the other from Region 8 (Potaro-Siparuni). The death toll from COVID-19 now stands at 90 and this figure has risen alarmingly over the last month.
The ministry listed the first death as that of a 68-year-old man from Region 7.
It then reported that two 56-year-old males: one from Baramita in Region One and the other from Port Kaituma in Region One had also passed away.
Finally, the ministry said that a 53-year-old male from Region 8 had passed away.
