(Trinidad Express) TEENAGER Nicholai Katwaroo is missing.

The teen’s father, Raju Katwaroo said Nicholai, 17, left his Gandi Village, Debe home around 9 a.m. on Friday. He is yet to return.

The elder Katwaroo believes Covid-19 could have contributed to him leaving to clear his mind.

He said his son recently received his CSEC examination results and passed all his subjects but due to Covid-19, he was unable to meet his friends. “After exams they would meet up and go to the mall. He can’t go out with his friends, play cricket and football. I think Covid-19 is having a psychological effect. It is impacting on everybody including him.”

The family has been searching areas in the southern Trinidad including Penal, Siparia and San Fernando.

The teenager was last seen wearing a pair of black pants, a white t-shirt and white slippers.

“We are concerned and we made a report to the police. I put the info on Facebook for people to look out for him,” Raju Katwaroo said.

Anyone with information can call 380-0112, 373-9153 or the police.
