The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) says that five squatters from the Success area are now being housed at the Graham’s Hall Primary School located in Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara.

In a statement yesterday, the CDC identified the persons at the school as two females and three males, who have taken the decision to be temporarily accommodated after being displaced from the squatting area.

It was emphasised that strict COVID-19 protocols are being enforced and meals, hygienic products, sleeping and other needed facilities are being provided.

The CDC is encouraging displaced Success squatters to contact the National Emergency Management System (NEMS) on 226- 1114, 623-1700, and 600-7500 and make their way to the Graham’s Hall Primary School, where they can be housed.

The facility is equipped with cots, family units, food supplies and other necessities to house the squatters.
