CAL unveils improvements to loyalty programme

Caribbean Airlines’ (CAL) loyalty programme Caribbean Miles will now offer new and enhanced features, including the ability for members to purchase miles, transfer them and to gift them to family and friends. 

 A release yesterday from CAL said that these improvements have been  made possible through the airline’s partnership with Points (TSX:PTS) (Nasdaq:PCOM) and Amadeus. The arrangement builds on Amadeus’ already existing relationship with Caribbean Miles as the provider of its Passenger Service System.

Later this year, Amadeus and Points plan to roll out even more engagement  solutions for Caribbean Miles members.

 By partnering with Points, the release said that the Caribbean Miles team can look forward to significantly more guaranteed ancillary revenue and engagement for the loyalty programme, especially important during this period of reduced travel demand.
