Trial set over murder of handyman on Hadfield St

The trial of Eustace Griffith who is accused of the 2016 killing of Stabroek Market handyman Steven Dexter Arthur, is set to commence next Tues-day before Justice Navindra Singh and a jury at the High Court in Georgetown.

The 12-member mixed jury which will be hearing the case was empaneled yesterday morning. 

The charge against Griffith is that on July 4th, 2016 at Hadfield Street, Georgetown, he murdered Arthur.

He has pleaded not guilty to the indictment.

About a dozen witnesses are expected to testify.

Griffith is being represented by attorney Maxwell Mc Kay; while the state’s case will be presented by Prosecutor Tyra Bakker.
