Albouystown shooting victim in stable condition

A father of one who was shot twice in the wee hours of Sunday morning is in stable condition while awaiting surgery to have the bullets removed.

Devon Cromwell, 30, of Cooper Street, Albouystown, is currently hospitalised at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was shot at twice on Sunday morning. According to his mother, Shannan Greaves, the shooting took place at Victoria Street, Albouystown, at about 2 am. She said that her son suffered two bullet wounds to the abdomen, for which he will have to undergo surgery. She said that since being admitted to the hospital, Cromwell is in stable condition.

The woman related to this newspaper that she was asleep at her Cooper Street home when someone called for her and told her that her son had been involved in a shooting. She said that she immediately went to Victoria Street, where she found her son lying on the road covered in blood.

Greaves added that the shooter fled the scene and is currently on the run. She also explained that the suspected shooter has a grievance with her son that dates back to about six years. She said that she thought the misunderstanding between her son and the suspect was settled since they had started being civil to each other, however she suspects they had another falling out.
