Christmas came early for Bibi Baksh yesterday when she walked away with $1 million as the Tropical Rhythm “Cash in your rhythm” Christmas Promotion concluded.

The winners announced yesterday are Baksh, who walked away with the grand prize, second place winner, Latchmi Sikandar, who won $300,000, and the third place winner Avisha Singh, who won $100,000. The three winners expressed their elation at receiving the prizes and said that their participation was worth the effort.

The promotion, which started in October and ended yesterday was a way to give back to the Guyanese community, according to the Business Unit Head for Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Nigel Dodson, who thanked all the participants during a brief ceremony at the Massy Mega Store, Turkeyen.

During the promotion period, various consumers got the opportunity to participate and win consolation prizes every week. To participate, persons had to purchase four Tropical Rhythm juices or a four case packet. The promotion was described as the first of its kind as it required participants to send in photos of their receipts from their purchases via WhatsApp. For a better chance at winning, persons were encouraged to purchase multiple cases, representatives told this newspaper.
