Shafeek Mohammed is currently facing trial for the 2016 murder of Ramkarran Mohanlall at Annandale South, ECD.
A jury was empaneled yesterday morning at the High Court in Georgetown before Justice Navindra Singh who will be presiding over the trial.
That capital indictment against Mohammed is that on February 3rd, 2016 he murdered Mohanlall.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The trial will continue virtually this morning with additional witnesses taking the stand.
Mohammed is being represented by attorney-at-Law Latchmie Rahamat.
Meanwhile, the state’s case is being led by Prosecutor Teriq Mohammed.
