The Tiger Creek Bridge in Region Eight has been completed, however, as a result of heavy rains works on the approaches are still ongoing.

A representative of the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) told Stabroek News on Wednesday that the bridge which collapsed while a heavy-duty truck was crossing in November 2020 has been completed.

He added that the bridge is in use but vehicles are experiencing difficulty navigating the steep descent and ascent of the approaches, which he says are not yet completed.

It was stated that the contractor has started corduroying the approaches in order to prevent deterioration but the constant rains are hindering works.
