A couple are currently on trial before Justice Brassington Reynolds and a jury for the 2016 murder of Sherwin Johnson.

The allegation against the jointly-charged duo of former Demico cook Alexis Turpin and Stephon Barlow is that on July 2nd, 2016, at Georgetown, they fatally beat Johnson with a crow bar.

They have both denied the charge.

A 12-member mixed jury was empanelled on Wednesday to hear the case.

The state’s case is being presented by Prosecutors Seeta Bishundial and Tyra Bakker.
