Twenty-five new COVID cases

Twenty-five new COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Guyana to 8,452.

This is according to the Ministry of Health’s daily COVID-19 dashboard, which revealed that the new cases emerged from 835 tests done yesterday. It was stated that eight of the new cases are from Region Three, 14 from Region Four and 1 each from Regions Five, Six and Seven.

There are nine persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 39 persons in institutional isolation, 406 persons in home isolation and 10 persons in institutional quarantine. Some 7808 persons who were infected with the disease have recovered while 190 have died.
