The Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) last night said that it intercepted 25 parcels of marijuana with a total weight of 44.974 kilogrammes in New Amsterdam yesterday.
CANU said it conducted an operation in New Amsterdam, Berbice yesterday morning where it intercepted a car with marijuana packed in several bulk plastic-wrapped parcels.
Three persons were arrested – two men and a woman.
