In three separate statements, the Ministry of Health today said that four more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 247.
The latest fatalities are a 59-year-old from Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni), a 44-year-old from Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara), a 73-year-old female from Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) and a 67-year-old female from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica).
They died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.
