Turkeyen IT consultant charged over hosting of party

An information technology consultant was placed on $5,000 bail yesterday after he denied breaching the COVID-19 curfew by hosting a party.

Twenty-eight-year-old Rory Douglas of Lot 291 Section ‘C’ Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, made his appearance at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday when Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan read the charge to him.

It is alleged that on February 26, at Georgetown, he breached the curfew by hosting a party in breach of the COVID-19 safety measures.

After entering a not guilty plea, Douglas was placed on $5,000 bail and ordered to make his next appearance on April 26.
