Cops still to ID decomposing body found at Cornelia Ida seashore

The police are still to identify the partially decomposed body of a man found at the Cornelia Ida seashore, West Coast Demerara, on Saturday.

According to a Guyana Police Force report, ranks at the Leonora Police Station received a call at 6.30 am on Saturday about the discovery of the body, which washed up at the seashore.

A party of policemen, headed by Police Commander of Region Three Errol Watts, visited the scene and upon arrival, they observed what appeared to be the lifeless body of a mixed race man, suspected to be in his mid-40s.

The scene was processed and the body was escorted to the Ezekiel Funeral Home as the investigation continues.
