Partially decomposed body found at Cornelia Ida

Police are seeking to identify a partially decomposed body of a man, which reportedly washed up at the Cornelia Ida Seashore, on the West Coast of Demerara, yesterday morning.

According to a Guyana Police Force report, ranks at the Leonora Police Station received a call at 6.30 am yesterday about the discovery.

As a result, a party of policemen, headed by Police Commander of Region Three Errol Watts, visited the scene. Upon arrival, the lifeless body of a mixed race man, who appeared to be 45 years old, was observed.

The scene was processed and the body was escorted to the Ezekiel Funeral Home as the investigation continues.
