The Ministry of Health yesterday said that three more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 284.
The latest fatalities are an 80-year-old man from Region 4 (Demerara-Mahaica) and a 51-year- old man and a 55-year-old woman from Region 3 (Essequibo Islands- West Demerara). They died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.
Meanwhile, 102 new cases of COVID were recorded and 12 persons are in the ICU.
